3-year-old hovers between life and death after babysitter beat him up for ‘crying’

A three year old Indiana boy, Noah Brown, is fighting for his life after he was severely bitten by the 12-year-old stepson of his father.

Namely, Noah’s parents have been divorced, and on the day of the harrowing incident, the toddler was supposed to be taken care of by his father.

The father, however, left Noah in the care of his stepson who was supposed to babysit the three year old.

Noah, who has been described by his family as a very energetic boy, started crying and that made the babysitter angry, according to Noah’s grandmother, Candy King.

She explained that the 12-year-old babysitter was by no means a suitable person to be left in charge of Noah because he experienced anger issues in the past.

Unfortunately, in order to prevent Noah from crying, the babysitter started hitting him with a belt and threw him towards the bed and his head hit the bed frame of the bunk bed. The 12-year-old then continued to pound the toddler’s head into the wall before Noah finally collapsed completely.

Shortly after this vicious incident, the babysitter was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of personal weapons, and four counts of battery.

Sadly, Noah suffered seizures and needed to be sedated because of the severity of the injuries he sustained.

“He has had to be placed in life support and has had a part of his skull removed due to the intensity of his injuries,” his mother, Michelle Lane, told the Mirror.

“He has a long road to recovery,” Lane told Fox 59, adding “It’s not guaranteed what his quality of life is going to be but we’re praying and hoping for the best that he comes out just fine.” To make things even worse, she said Noah also is battling Covid-19.

Lane started a petition that asks for the legal age to babysit to be changed in her state to a minimum of 16 years old. She wrote that “there is no law on the age requirement for babysitting a minor in the state of Indiana.”

We pray that Noah recovers from the injuries as soon as possible.
