Susan Hart, a friend and fellow actress with the Shakespeare Theatre Company, broke the news of his demise and expressed her “just utter devastation” at the news of the actor’s passing on July 6.
My sweet, sweet, sweet prince among men, good night. No words can express how devastated we are to lose Jeffrey Carlson. You were, oh God, words fail me. Oh, so cherished and treasured. She said on Facebook, “For those of you who don’t know, I’m extremely sorry to relay the news that Jeffrey passed away yesterday. “I have delayed telling his family the news out of respect for their privacy… also unable to breathe or move… still unable… Love to everybody… Just heartbroken…”
As of right now, the reason of death is unknown.
Elizabeth Carlson Gingras, the actor’s sister, stated in a statement that her brother had a profound influence on many people.
She stated in a statement that her brother Jeffrey Carlson, who was “handsome, brilliant, and EXTREMELY talented,” had joined our brother Gregory Carlson in heaven. “I find it difficult to comprehend why this occurred. What I do know is that I will always treasure our laughs and our intense love for one another. It’s difficult to put into words how unique he was because of the impact he has had on so many individuals. I want to say so much, but my heart isn’t in the right place to give Jeffrey the words he needs. My lovely brother, you have my undying affection. 6/23/1975-7/06/2023.”
Carlson, a Juilliard School alumnus, had his Broadway debut in 2003’s production of Edward Albee’s The Goat or Who Is Sylvia.Later, he co-starred in The Miracle Worker with Hilary Swank.He played Marilyn in the Taboo performances from 2003 to 2004.In addition, the late actor acted in the 2007 film The Killing Floor and the 2005 smash Hitch with Will Smith and Eva Mendes.
